Transforming Displacement into Dignity
Empowering tribal communities across North East India since 1993. We restore human dignity through vocational empowerment, legal advocacy, and sustainable development.
A Legacy of Resilience Since 1993.
Founded in the heart of a crisis, the Tribal Welfare Society emerged from a singular necessity: to serve those forgotten by the tides of conflict. For over three decades, we have stood at the frontlines of relief for the displaced, the destitute, and the underprivileged across the North East and beyond.
“What began as a relief effort for those fleeing social and natural calamities has evolved into a 30-year mission of restoration.”
We don't just offer temporary aid; we build permanent foundations through education, vocational empowerment, and legal advocacy. At Tribal Welfare Society, our goal is simple yet profound: to transform displacement into dignity.

Constitutional Rights Seminar
The Digital Future
Transforming our outreach with a global digital marketplace for tribal crafts, online vocational training programs, and a transparent impact ledger—ensuring 30+ years of legacy scales further.
TWS Digital Hub Vision
Core Pillars
A multi-faceted approach to tribal upliftment, ensuring legal protection and economic self-sufficiency.

Relief & Rehabilitation
When disaster strikes, TWS mobilizes within 48 hours. We deliver emergency food kits, temporary shelter, medical support, and psychosocial aid to displaced tribal families across Northeast India — ensuring the most vulnerable are never left behind.

Vocational Empowerment
Our Weaving & Production Centers transform generations of tribal craft knowledge into sustainable livelihoods. We train artisan families in handloom techniques, business acumen, and digital commerce — turning heritage into income.

Social & Legal Justice
Tribal communities deserve to know and exercise their constitutional rights. We conduct legal literacy camps, provide pro-bono legal representation, and have helped hundreds of families reclaim their land, citizenship, and government entitlements.

Holistic Development
Education is the most powerful equalizer. Through scholarships, primary schooling support, digital literacy initiatives, and mentorship networks, we ensure every tribal child has an unobstructed path to a brighter future.

“The vocational training center provided by TWS gave me the modern machinery and business skills I needed to scale my handloom work. Today, I employ five other artisans from my village, turning our traditional craft into a sustainable business.”
